ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Special Assitant on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has expressed apprehensions over the arrest of former premier adviser Irfan Siddique adding that she has asked the police to provide FIR and ensured the investigation into the matter.
Dr. Firdouas Ashiq Awan said that the previous government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had formulated the tenancy agreement while all are equal in front of the law.
The PMSA informed that the person’s details whom Irfan Siddique gave his house on rent not provided to the police which is compulsory under the tenancy agreement.
She instructed the law enforcement agency not to disturb and tease family members of Irfan Siddique adding that establishment of rule of law is the duty of the government while the government recognizes the sanctity of the pen while the government is investigating into the matter in detail.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government didn’t have the policy to take measures in a secret manner while it is part of the PTI agenda to make institutions authorized.
She said that Irfan Siddique showing of the pen after his arrest wanted to send a message that the pen has been sent to jail adding that we have to listen each other point of view after which the matter will be found.
