Mexico City(July 06, 2018): 24 people were killed and at least 49 injured, in a series of explosions ripped through fireworks workshops in Mexico City.
According to international news agency, first explosion occurred at 9:40 a.m. First responders and local residents rushed to the scene to help rescue people. At 10 a.m., three more powerful explosions occurred, killing dozens of people including those who had come to help.

24 people were killed and at least 49 are injured in the incident. Four firefighters and 2 police personnel were among those killed.
Mexico State civil defense said 17 people died at the scene and seven died later at hospitals.
Helicopters took the wounded to several local hospitals, and more than 300 police were dispatched to the scene.
