Web Desk(March 06, 2018): The coming Thursday is International Women’s Day and the first Aurat March is going to be held in Karachi.
According to the organizers, the Aurat March will focus on women’s access to economic justice, reproductive justice, and environmental justice and prevent violence against them.

They urged women of all classes to join them. Men are also invited, but they will have to come with women.
The March aims to demand equal rights for women in every category of life.

Earlier, the organizers of the march had distributed flyers and brochures among participants of the recently held Karachi Literature Festival. Recently they (organizers) visited The Lyari Girls Café to convey their message. Also, they have planned to visit cinema halls and shopping malls as well.
The Aurat March also remembered Qandeel Baloch in their campaign.

Dubbing it the first of its kind march in Pakistan, Sheema extended an open invitation to “all those who stand for equality and want to eradicate violence by the state or any other perpetrator.”
