RAWALPINDI: Multan bound Thal Express departed from Rawalpindi railway station on Wednesday morning resumed after suspension of more than five years that will move to Multan city en route Mianwali.
Federal Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was present himself at the Rawalpindi railway station at the time of departure. He met passengers of the train and also travel with them.
While talking to reporters, Rasheed said that Thal Express will be extended to Karachi from Multan. He vowed that labours and police officials working in the Pakistan Railways will be given one-grade increment.
He said that a strong network of passenger trains will be spread across the country while 20 freight trains will be run between Lahore to Karachi.
Rasheed said that seeking loan from International Monetary Fund (IMF) was compulsion as dacoits looted whole national treasury. He claimed that 40 persons will be sent behind bars in near future.
The federal minister said that upcoming visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan will be historical.
