Islamabad (February 26, 2018): First unit of Fourth additional hydro power Electricity project “Tarbela” has started operating on Monday.
According to the details, PM Abbasi will inaugurate the project in 2nd week of March. The project will earn 30 Billion per year.
Chairman WAPDA Lt. General Muzammil Hussain visited the project On the operation of first unit. He greeted the project consultants and contractors on the completion of the project.
He told that the project contains three units and every unit is capable of producing 470 mw electricity.The first unit has started operating to produce electricity, the second unit of the project will start in the fall April and third will start generating electricity in the end of May.
Chairman WAPDA told that WAPDA will increase 2487 mW hydroelectricity into the national grid by completing it’s four projects Neelum, Jehlum, Tarbela 4, and Golan Gol.
