Five bullet-riddled bodies found in Karachi

KARACHI: Five people were found shot dead on the outskirts of Karachi. The victims could not be identified immediately on Monday.

According to police and rescue officials, the bodies were found lying on the roadside in city’s Mochko area near Northern Bypass.

Police said the bodies bore marks of bullets and torture, adding the victims could not be identified. The corpses were shifted to civil hospital for medico-legal formalities.

On Oct 27, three bullet-riddled bodies were found in Abdullah Goth, a village located in the area of Baldia Town locality of Karachi, the city were dumping of bodies is common.

The metropolis, which is a city of 18 million people and contributes 42 percent of Pakistan’s GDP, has been plagued by sectarian, ethnic and political violence for years.
