Lahore (December 14, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PAT) has filed an adjournment motion in the Punjab Assembly over the ineffective strategy of provincial Health Department for treatment of AIDs.
The adjournment motion filed by PTI’s member of Punjab Assembly Malik Taimor Masood says that the inferior strategy of Punjab Health Department is making thousands of AIDs patients suffer and face hardships due to non-provision of funds and relevant facilities.
The motion also says that man AIDS patient have died due to the flawed strategy and slow workings of the Punjab Health Department.

The motion discloses that Punjab Aids Control Program received tens of millions of rupees from National Aids Control Program but not only the AIDs patients are being made to suffer because they were not provided the funds but the staff and workers of an NGO working for Punjab Aids Control Program have not been paid salaries for the last five months.
The motion says that the staff and workers of the said NGO and the AIDs patients demand the government to take immediate notice of the situation.
