ISTANBUL: During the emergency meeting of OIC in Istanbul, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif where the two leaders discussed various affairs of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Qureshi is in Turkey for the OIC that has been summoned to discuss escalating Islamophobia with the Christchurch massacre under observation in which around 50 Muslims were killed in the attack carried out by a white supremacist terrorist.
Sources said that the Iranian FM thanked his Pakistani counterpart for the safe returns of Iranian security officials.
Both counterparts discussed to strengthen the ties between the two nations.
FM Shah Mehmood stressed that Pakistan wants a peaceful existence in the region and is willing to enhance the ties with its neighbours.
