MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday rejected the impression of voluntarily cut in the defence budget on the request of International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Talking to media in Multan, he said the country is facing numerous challenges and the whole nation would have to extend maximum support to deal with the challenges.
The Minister said the incumbent government would steer the country towards matchless progress.
He said that Pakistan wanted peace in the region and committed to promote friendly relations with all countries on the basis of mutual respect and equality.
“Pakistan is moving on the path of uplift and prosperity with a good pace,” he ended.
