ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that the verdict of International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case is a great diplomatic triumph of Pakistan.
Addressing to press conference, he said, “I congratulate the nation on great triumph and moral victory in Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case as the spy will remain in Pakistan’s custody.”
“India challenged the verdict of Pakistani courts to award a death penalty to its spy in the ICJ, however, their narrative has not been accepted by the global court,” he added.
“Kulbhushan will remain in our custody and the ICJ has asked us to review the matter and grant him consular access to the former,” he insisted.
“He will still be trialed under our laws,” further added Qureshi.
“The ICJ hasn’t declared our military court’s verdict null and void it has asked us to review the matter by granting him consular access,” he concluded.
