LONDON: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi departed for London on Sunday to attend international events organised for disputed Kashmir.
FM Qureshi will address International Kashmir Conference in House of Commons at British parliament on Monday (tomorrow).
Moreover, the foreign minister will attend a Kashmir-related exhibition at Park Lane on February 5.
While talking to reporters ahead of departure, Qureshi said that Kashmir was important pillar of the country’s foreign policy. He vowed that Islamabad will raise strong voice against atrocities continued by Indian occupation troops on innocent Kashmiris. He clarified that Pakistan will continue political, moral and diplomatic support of Kashmiris.
Qureshi said that British parliamentary group and Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) supported Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir dispute.
Before departing for London, Shah Mehmood Qureshi made a telephonic conversation with senior leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and exchanged views of upcoming programs scheduled in London.
