ISLAMABAD: The foreign office on Friday issued the declaration of Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif visit to Pakistan.
According to the declaration, both sides appreciated the progress on important decisions made during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to Iran and the need to continue regular engagement for expanding cooperation in all areas.
Foreign Minister Qureshi exchanged views with Dr. Zarif on recent tensions, undermining peace and stability in the region. Important issues related to bilateral relations were also discussed.
Views were exchanged on the promotion of bilateral trade, facilitation of the people to people contacts and movements, the opening of the new border crossing points, the establishment of new border markets and enhancing security along Pakistan-Iran border.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday in Islamabad and discussed matters related to mutual interests between Pakistan and Iran.
