Islamabad:The Foreign Office has strongly rebutted a concocted news item carried by an Indian news agency about withdrawal of GSP Plus status to Pakistan, terming it as fabricated and a continuation of the India’s malicious propaganda against Pakistan.

Responding to media queries regarding a report of an Indian news agency, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that currently, the European Parliament is on summer recess till autumn and there has been no discussion on Pakistan since April 2021.

The Spokesperson said India’s malicious smear campaign against Pakistan is well-known and independent organizations including EU DisinfoLab have established India’s credentials as purveyor of anti-Pakistan propaganda globally.
Pakistan and EU maintain close high-level engagement through multiple dialogue mechanisms, and Pakistan remains committed for full implementation of the 27 International Conventions related to the GSP+. Pakistan has already successfully completed three biennial reviews. 3/3
