ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday directed to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to submit a record of foreign donors within the next 48 hours.
According to details, the scrutiny committee has directed PPP to submit its reply over the questionnaire and scheduled the next session on Friday.
ECP asked, “If PPP has accounts other than submitted to ECP than it should apprise ECP. In another question ECP asked if the party has accounts in abroad than had it given details of those account to ECP between 2013 to 2015,” it also asked the provision of NIC copies of the foreign donors.
On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) scrutiny committee has on Tuesday handed over a questionnaire to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) regarding party funding.
The scrutiny committee has directed PML-N to submit its reply over the questionnaire and scheduled the next session on Friday.
It is pertinent here to mention that the Election Commission of Pakistan has started conducting daily hearing of foreign funding case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from today.
