ISLAMABAD: Former Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf Ali on Wednesday fainted during case proceedings in Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Ashtar Ausaf fell unconscious when a three-judge bench of the Apex court, headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa was hearing on a contempt of court case.
Approximately, a five-minute break was observed in the courtroom as a doctor was called up to check on the Former Attorney General.
An ambulance was called up which promptly shifted him to Poly Clinic after his health began to deteriorate.
Considering the event, all pending cases which were scheduled to be heard today have been adjourned at the top court.
The adjourned case hearings included contempt of court case against Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed, contempt of court case against IG Islamabad and bail plea hearing of Shehbaz Sharif and Fawad Hasan Fawad.
