Former MD PSO Granted Bail in LNG Terminal Case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted on Tuesday the bail of the former Managing Director (MD) Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Sheikh Imranul Haq directing to submit surety bonds of worth one million rupees.

According to details, a divisional bench of IHC headed by chief justice IHC Justice Athar Minallah heard the case on the bail plea of former MD PSO Sheikh Imranul Haq while Salman Raja presented him as his lawyer.

During the hearing, CJ chief justice asked: “If former MD PSO used his powers illegally and satisfy the court how did he use his authorities in wrong manners.”

On which investigative officer told the court that accused has four companies as the contract of the LNG would have been given to a smaller company, however interrupting him CJ IHC said that he failed to prove illegal use of powers by the former MD PSO.

Later, IHC accepted former MD PSO bail ordering to submit surety bonds of one million rupees.
