Islamabad (June 29, 2017): Former chairman National Accountability Bureau (NA) Lieutenant General (retd) Syed Amjad Naqvi appeared before Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the offshore holdings of Sharif family and recorded his statement.
According to sources, the first chairman of NAB was questioned by the JIT for over one hours. They added that during the questioning he was asked questions about the Hudaibia Papers Mill reference by the JIT.

They added that during the appearance the former anti-graft body chief confirmed the record of the Reference and declared it on was filed based on evidence.
He also answered the question asked by the JIT members about the investigation carried out during his tenure regarding Hudaibia Papers Mills case.
Sources said that the JIT will also prepare final questionnaire for Prime Minister’s children who have been summoned for next week on different dates.
The meeting of the JIT is underway at the FJA. Sources said that the is reviewing the record submitted by Habib Bank. They added that the JIT would also mull over issuing summon to Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar during today’s meeting.
It is to be mentioned here that the JIT has again summoned Hassan Nawaz on July 3, Hussain Nawaz on July 4 and daughter Maryam Nawaz on July 5, 2017. Maryam will be appearing before the JIT for the first time.
Hussain Nawaz has already appeared before the JIT five times and this will be his sixth appearance. Hassan Nawaz has appeared twice and July 3’s appearance will be third one.
The JIT has also summoned PM’s cousin Tariq Shafi on July 2. He was also summoned in May and after appearing before the team for first time he had complained of alleged maltreatment and intimidation by the JIT members.
