Karachi (February 01, 2018): Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that his Govt restored law and order situation in the country. He promised to bring a change in Karachi and Sindh if he is given the chance.
Nawaz was addressing the workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz after chairing a meeting of party’s provincial executive committee at a local hotel in Karachi.

“Karachi is equally precious to me as any other city of Pakistan,” he said, adding “I invite people of Karachi to visit Lahore.
“Karachi should’ve been more developed, progressive, and pretty. However, Lahore has won this race.”
While referring to the verdict, he remarked: “I couldn’t complete my tenure. A verdict removed me from my post. The nation had rejected his verdict.”
Nawaz further said that he has spent more than half my life in engaging in politics. He then corrected himself and said: “Not politics, but serving the people.”
The PML-N chief had landed in Karachi earlier in the day and was received by party leaders at the Old Terminal of the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
Earlier, He chaired a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s provincial executive committee at a local hotel after reaching Karachi on a two-day visit today. He was received by local leadership and party workers at Old Terminal of the Jinnah International Airport.
He will also meet lawyers, political leaders and governor Sindh.

Nawaz, who was disqualified as prime minister by the Supreme Court in a landmark verdict on July 28, has traveled to Karachi for the first time since his disqualification.
During the visit, the former prime minister will chair a PML-N Sindh meeting at a local hotel. Current political situation, preparations for the next polls, mass contact drive and other issues will be discussed in the meeting, said sources.
After the meeting, Nawaz will visit the construction site of Green Line Bus project and review its progress.

The delegation of allied party Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F) will also meet with former prime minister and discuss present political situation and future election with him.
The PML-N chief will chair a session of PML-N’s provincial executive committee at a local hotel in the afternoon.
Moreover, Nawaz will also address a gathering of traders and industrialists at a local hotel at night.
Nawaz Sharif will also address a seminar regarding democracy future in a private hotel on the second day of his visit and later a delegation of senior lawyers will call on him in the noon.
On Friday, the former prime minister will participate in a seminar on future of democracy in Pakistan. Others attending the seminar include Balochistan-based senior politicians Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Mir Hasil Bizenjo, among others.
Nawaz will meet a delegation of Pakistan Bengali Association Friday evening, and also address a gathering of lawyers.
Interestingly, Nawaz is expected to appear on Friday before the accountability court Islamabad hearing corruption cases against him.
Deposed PM will leave for Islamabad on February 02.

Nawaz Sharif visit to Karachi was the part of informal consultative huddle decision on Tuesday to accelerate the momentum of the mass contact campaign by holding public rallies.
Nawaz Sharif will visit Peshawar on February 4, Muzaffarabad on Feb 5 and Chitral in second week of the month.
