Former PM Nawaz Calls Meeting To Deliberate Anti-govt Alliance

Lahore (October 27, 2018): Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday has summoned consultative meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to deliberate on anti-government alliance.

According to details, senior leaders including Khawaja Asif, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Marriyum Aurangzeb will attend the meeting.

The participants will discuss strategies regarding anti-government alliance.

Earlier, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman telephoned Nawaz and suggested that the opposition parties should unite “at the earliest in their bid to give tough time” to the government.

Fazl while informing Nawaz of the former’s meeting with Zardari suggested that the opposition parties should unite “at the earliest in their bid to give tough time” to the government.Nawaz Sharif on his part said he would decide on any future strategy after consulting with his party members.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari have yet to decide on their meeting.

Sources close to the development said the PML-N supremo is still holding consultations with party workers over a potential alliance with the PPP and a final decision will be taken later.
