Former PM Nawaz, Maryam Reach Peshawar To Address Rally

Peshawar (February 04, 2018): Former Prime Minister and President PML N Mian Nawaz Sharif has reached Peshawar to attend the public gathering here today. His daughter Maryam Nawaz, others also travelled with him through special flight.

According to the details, ruling party PML-N is going to stage public rally in PTI stronghold Peshawar today, Sunday, which will be addressed by the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif , Maryam Nawaz and other party leaders.

The local party leadership and workers have prepared 24 feet high and 80 feet long stage and four walks through gates have been installed. More than 150 speakers and 60 thousands chairs have been places at rally venue at Ring Road Northern By-pass.

Fool-proof security has also been ensured in and around the venue.

The rally venue was decorated with the party flags while giant hoardings and signboards were also hanged around the city.

On January 30, the informal consultative huddle of ruling party PML-N has decided to accelerate the momentum of the mass contact campaign by holding public rallies, which will be addressed by the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

The meeting was presided over by the party head Nawaz Sharif and attended by Maryam Nawaz, Raja Zafarul Haq, NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, senator Pervez Rasheed, Asif Kimrani,  Khawaja Saad Rafique and other senior party leaders.Meeting decided to speed up the mass contact campaign and Nawaz Sharif will visit Karachi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad and Chitral in the first phase of the campaign.

In his last address to a public gathering in Jaranwala, the former premier said his party will push its “political opponents hard” in 2018, so they are not seen again.

The PML-N president also touched upon the reasons for his ouster, a recurring theme in his recent rallies.

“Is it a crime to not draw a salary from your son?” Nawaz questioned the attendees of the rally. “I was ousted because of this crime.”

“I came to the public’s court to get justice,” he said. “I see the same spirit here in Jaranwala that I saw when I got out to seek the public’s support on the Grand Trunk (GT) Road.”

On February 01 Thursday, Former Prime Minister and PML N President Nawaz Sharif reached Karachi as its first visit of mass contact campaign decided by the party huddle.

He addressed to party workers and later to traders in local hotel. He also visited green line bus project and reviewed the progress.

Addressing a gathering of traders in local hotel in Karachi he said that federal government’s endeavors to make Karachi a peaceful city have become successful.

He said that the peace has been restored in the city after the decisive operation against criminals.

On February 02, second day of his visit addressed a seminar on ‘The Future of Democracy in Pakistan’.

In his address Nawaz Sharif has said that doctrine of necessity damaged the foundation of democracy in Pakistan.

He said that democracy in Pakistan is attacked whenever it starts to strengthen in the country. He said that doctrine of necessity adversely affected democracy in the country, adding that a section of the judiciary has always supported dictators.Doctrine of Necessity Damaged Democracy in Pakistan: NawazHe said that in the past court has validated martial laws on the basis of the doctrine of necessity.

“We have to take strict decisions to take this country on the right path,” the PML-N leader said. “Not a single elected representative could complete his mandated tenure, whereas the dictators ruled the country for more than 30 years.”

The PML-N leader said that nexus of dictators and court did not let democracy prosper in the country.
