ISLAMABAD: Former premier Nawaz Sharif has filed a review petition against Supreme Court verdict of March 26 seeking permanent bail.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lifetime chief Nawaz Sharif has approached to the apex court for his treatment and filed the review petition consisting up of 15 pages while Nawaz Sharif medical history has also been provided with the petition.
The petition reads that Nawaz Sharif treatment can only be possible in England where he got treatment earlier while the Supreme Court in its order had said that high court could be contacted for former premier bail.
PML-N chief consul Khawaja Harris contended in the petition that the SC granted bail to Nawaz Sharif on basis of medical grounds while the SC order also barred Nawaz Sharif to leave the country during the bail period of six weeks henceforth the SC should review its verdict regarding the ban on Nawaz Sharif leaving the country.
The petition reviewed that the SC written order did not include taking bail from the high court and it could be typing mistake while Nawaz Sharif treatment could not be complete in the six weeks while doctors of UK, USA, and Switzerland have said Nawaz Sharif has a serious ailment which poses threat to his life.
The petition insisted the Supreme Court as per March 26 verdict the former premier could not leave the country and the ban on Nawaz Sharif to get treatment in the country should be reviewed.
