Former US Secretary of State Voices For People of Kashmir

WASHINGTON: Former US Vice Secretary of State Williams Burns has said the American embassy asked India to let the team visit Srinagar, but they were denied.

Burns said the US Congress held two hearing on the Occupied Kashmir issue, but India is hiding the facts and not allowing others to visit the held territory is clear evidence of it.

He said the US has warned India to aware them about the current position of the valley and not to make it a political issue.

Williams Burns said people of the Indian Occupied Kashmir should be given the right to self-determination according to the UN resolutions.
