QUETTA: Rains have ended in all over Balochistan including Quetta while four-day rain claimed 29 lives and flood like situation broke protective small dams and small houses whereas connecting roads inundated in the flow of water.
According to Director General (DG), Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Imran Zarkoon as many as 29 people lost their lives in different incidents during rain which continued for four days.
11 persons drowned in the flood water while 18 people died in different traffic and roof collapse incidents.
The PDMA has sped up rescue efforts after the end of rains while water level also decreased in pounds and groove.
Most of the villages came under water after heavy rains created a flood in the most streams and groove of districts in Gawadar, Sibbi, Pasheen, Dikki, Harnaye, Kohlu, Qila Saif Ullah and Ziarat.
According to PDMA officials said that transportation of relief goods to flood-affected areas are continued while the authority also ascertaining losses during the rain.
