Islamabad: Fourth wave of coronavirus taking drastic turn as more 76 people succumbed to the virus while more than 4000 cases reported across the country on consecutive second day.
According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) as many as 59, 707 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours out of which 4497 came positive while positivity rate turned 7.53.
After 76 deaths the total death toll surpassed 23,209 while the number of cases jumped to 10, 20, 324. As many as 59, 761 are active cases in the country while 9,37, 354 recovered from the virus.
Sindh is on top regarding the number of cases as 3,74, 434, while 5, 903 people died of the disease. Punjab reported 3, 54, 904, Islamabad 86, 602, while 797 died, KP 1, 42,799 while 4, 435 died, Balochistan 30, 009, while 326 died, Gilgit Baltistan 7, 935 while 113 died, AJK 23, 631 While 620 passed away .
