QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that lack of planning has caused the wastage of province resources in the past.
“The planning mechanism is imperative in the governance system of the province,” he said while addressing to seminar “Pre-budget Consultative Workshop” in Quetta on Monday.
The Chief Minister said that budget allocation for all sectors should be as per basic requirements of the people of the province.
He expressed the hope that the Federal Government would provide sixty billion rupees to the provincial government for Public Sector Developmental Programme in the new fiscal year’s budget.
“Due to lack of planning in last 70 years the most of the development schemes were not as per people needs that caused the dearth of education and health facilities as even no master plan had never been designed in past,” he said.
He also mentioned that lack of legislation as per public requirements had created several issues while the absence of transfers of powers to gross root level has also created difficulties to solve the issues of common man.
He said that the IG Police of the province could not spend more than Rs 25000 and eve for the purchase of a single pen administration have to take permission.
