Fresh Wet Spell Hits Parts of Karachi, Weather Turns Pleasant

Karachi (July 15, 2017): The light to moderate rain hit different parts of metropolitan that turned the weather pleasant.

Along the light rain cool breeze has brought pleasant change in Karachi weather as people came out from their homes to enjoy the weather. Some people drove to sea side to get the opportunity full enjoyment of the weather.

Light to moderate rain reported in Clifton, Korangi, Defence, Shahre Faisal, Gulstan-e-Juhar Malir, Gulshan-e-Hadeed and adjoining areas.

On Friday, several areas in Sindh — the first province hit by the latest weather system — received moderate to high rainfall in Islam Kot (57mm), Badin (40mm), Mithi (31mm), Diplo (20mm), Chhor (16mm), Nagarparkar (14mm), Chachhro (12mm), Dahli (8mm) and Karachi (1mm). Lahore experienced heavy but scattered rainfall with 47mm of rainfall recorded at the Met Department’s Jail Road office.

Earlier, Meteorological Department had predicted that another spell of rain-thunderstorms is likely to hit Karachi on Saturday and expected to continue till Tuesday.

The second wave of monsoon has entered Sindh and Balochistan and might stay for the week, whereas monsoon rains will reenter Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir from Monday.
