Islamabad (November 14, 2017): Funeral prayers of Captain Junaid Hafeez, who was martyred in an attack on a border post of the Pakistan Army by terrorists from Afghanistan, were offered here in the federal capital.
The funeral prayers was attended among other by Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.
It is to be mentioned here that Captain Hafeez and Sepoy Raham embraced martyrdom on Monday when terrorists attacked Pakistan Army post from across Afghanistan.
Four other troops were injured in the assault on the border post, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
DG ISPR had said that the absence of Afghan writ on the Afghan side of the border like many other areas facilitated terrorists to undertake such attempts.
DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, in a series of tweets, said that Pakistan had done its part and cleared areas on its side of the border from terrorist presence.
