Islamabad (July 25, 2018): General elections 2018 of the country are in process, but how many candidates are contesting, and from which political party, in this final war? Let’s have a look. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is leading with the highest number of candidates.
PTI has issued tickets to 766 candidates of national and provincial assembly. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is on second position, with 711 candidates with their ticket, while Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) is third in the list with 618 candidates. Muttahida Majlis Amal (MMA) has 616 candidates contesting in general elections 2018.In contest for 297 seats of Punjab Assembly, PTI has highest number of candidates with 285 candidates, PML-N has 271 candidates, TLP has 265 candidates, while, PPP and MMA has 237 and 170 candidates respectively.PPPs 126 candidates, 110 candidates of MQM, 98 candidates of PTI, TLPs 72 candidates and PML-Ns 70 candidates are contesting for 130 seats of Sindh Assembly.In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, PTI is leading with 98 candidates, MMA has 95 candidates, PPPs 85 candidates, PML-Ns 80 candidates and 41 candidates of TLP, will be contesting for total 99 seats.For 51 seats of Balochistan Assembly, MMA has highest number of 49 candidates. While, other than MMA, 41 candidates of PTI, 38 candidates of PPP, 18 candidates of PML-N and 10 candidates of TLP, will also be contesting for seats of Balochistan Assembly.480 candidates of national and provincial assembly, are contesting with the symbol of ‘Jeep’ across the country, including Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
