LONDON: At least 15 people have been injured after a building collapsed in a suspected gas explosion in Wirral area of Merseyside.
The incident happened around 9 pm on Saturday night and a building believed to be a dance club was destroyed in the blast. A spokeswoman for Merseyside fire and rescue service said, ” There has been a suspected gas explosion resulting in building collapse. We are liaising with police and the ambulance service.”
She said that the incident happened in Boundary Road, Port Sunlight. While the North West Ambulance service says 30 people are “walking wounded” and have been taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries.
