Germany: Tourist Bus Crash Injures 35 Foreigners

Berlin (October 12, 2018): A bus carrying more than 30 tourists from Australia, Canada, and the United States has crashed into a truck filled with tires in Germany.

At least nine people have been seriously injured in the crash near Heidelberg, local media reports.

It’s believed 35 people were on the bus and four of the injured are in a critical condition.

The injured passengers, Australians believed to be among them, have since been ferried to nearby hospitals in the city of Heidelberg via a fleet of ambulances and helicopters.

Early reports suggested the bus drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with the truck.

It’s believed the bus was carrying passengers aged in their 60s.
