Multan (May 25, 2017): A 10-year girl maid Khadija was subjected to inhumane torture over losing key of a room by the lady boss at a house located in Shalimar Colony here. The cruel lady beat the child maid mercilessly by iron rods and yet the police refuses to register the case.
Poor Khadija managed to flee after which the police took her in her custody from the MDA area.

Poor Khadija is a resident of Bhawalnagar and was brought to Multa to work as domestic servant.
The BZU police station has not taken any action against the lady who perpetrated such inhumane torture to girl maid Khadija.
The violence against domestic workers, particularly on the most vulnerable segment of them that comprise small girl and boy maids, seem to have become a routine across the country. There is a sahrp increase in such instances of violence perpetrated by the home owners- both men and women.
