Glimpses of Legendary Comedian Nannah’s Professional Career

Lahore (June 02, 2017): Legendary film and television actor and fabulous comedian Rafi Khawar popularly known as Nannaha was died on June 02, 1986 at the age of 41 in Lahore.

Nannah allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with a shotgun in Lahore on 2 June 1986. The actual circumstances leading to Nannah’s death remain a mystery to this day. No one believe that such a cheerful personality could commit suicide.

We look back at this life and career through a selection of pictures.

Nannah started his film career in 1966 and his first Urdu film was Watan Ka Sepahi.

 

He got breakthrough from film Noukar in 1975. He was hero in film Tehka Pehlwan in 1979 and same year his film Dubai Chalo was super hit on box office.

Nannah was regarded as an exceptional comedy talent and for many years was the star of the hit TV show ” Alif Noon” that ran across three seasons during the 70s and 80s.

 

He got two Nigar Awards for Best Supporting Actor and Best Comedian in 1977 and 1983 for film `Bharosa’ and `Love Story’.

The versatile actor and great comedian left the world on June 02, 1986. Rafi khan was born on August 4, 1944.
