Governor Sindh Offers Prayers At Mazar-e-Quaid

Karachi (August 28, 2018): Newly appointed Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail on Tuesday paid a visit at Mazar-e-Quaid after assuming charge of his office.

Governor Sindh offered prayers and laid floral wreath at the grave of the founder of Pakistan.

Talking to the newsmen later, Governor Sindh said he will work with his devotion for the betterment of the province.

Referring to the water issues of Karachi, Governor Sindh projects in this regard will be initiated soon.

He said that he will develop working coordination with all political parties of the province.

Earlier on August 27, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail has taken oath as Governor of Sindh.

According to the details, Imran Ismail took oath as 33rd Sindh Governor. Chief Justice Sindh High Court administered the oath at Governor House Karachi.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, PTI nominated candidate for President Arif Alvi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri, members of the provincial cabinet and provincial and federal assemblies and other notables.

Imran Ismail is the 33th Governor of the province since 1947. He was born on 1st January 1966 in Karachi and is a businessman-turned-politician.

He is also one of the founding members of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

It may be pointed out that Imran Ismail was elected as a member of the provincial assembly from PS-111 Karachi (South-V) in general election. He resigned as Sindh Assembly members this morning.

Earlier, Imran Ismail resigned from his Sindh Assembly seat of PS-111.
