Islamabad (July 20, 2018): The government has decided to shift Maryam Nawaz, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who was sentenced by accountability court for seven years in prison, from Adyala Jail to Sihala rest house.
According to the details, the government has all set to shift Maryam Nawaz From Adyala jail To Sihala rest house. Sources said that a medical team will be on duty 24 hours at the rest house and a list of medical supplies has been prepared. The medical team is comprised of lady doctors and nurses. An ambulance will also be parked at the rest house.

Earlier caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Law Affairs, Barrister Syed Ali Zafar said that the government was implementing the court’s orders following the decision.Declaring sub-jail to any place, was the prerogative of any government, he said. The court never said that the convict persons should be kept at any specific place, he added.About Maryam Nawaz, he said that there was no harm to transfer the daughter of Nawaz Sharif to some other place.
On the other hand, security of Sihala rest house has been beefed up. Sources said rangers personnel will also be deployed to ensure the security of Sihala rest house.The rest house has already been declared as a sub-jail by the authorities. The decision was made after taking into account security fears at Rawalpindi’s Adiala prison, where Sharif and his daughter and son-in-law Capt Safdar are being kept to serve sentences awarded to them in Avenfield reference by the accountability court earlier this month.
