Gilgit(October 25, 2017): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that federal government will continue to extend cooperation for equal development of all the areas in the country.
Addressing the meeting of Gilgit Baltistan council in Skardu on Wednesday, he said Gilgit Baltistan can greatly benefit from China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
He said that it was the first government which practically started work on Diamer Basha Dam. Development of the country is our priority, he added.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said it was a matter of great satisfaction that the democratic process was moving forward in Gilgit Baltistan.
Meanwhile, the meeting of Gilgit Baltistan council is in progress which will approve budget for the year 2017-18.
Chief Minister GB Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman, Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Ghazanfer Ali Khan, Federal Minister for Kashmir and GB Affairs Birjees Tahir and members of GB Council attended the meeting.
