ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Monday decided to abolish the authority of prime minister and the president to build camp offices.
Sources told that the Act 1975 which is related to the powers of the president and premier will be amended. The amendment has been drafted and will be proposed to the cabinet for approval on Tuesday.
The decision to terminate the camp offices is a part of the austerity campaign. The President and the Prime Minister will not be able to build a camp office anywhere other than their offices and residence. It will be presented in the Parliament in the form of a bill after its approval.
