Islamabad: The government has closed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime wing and formed a new institution of National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
The government has issued notification regarding establishment of NCCIA.
Moreover, all the cases regarding cyber crime will be lodged and prosecuted by the NCCIA itself. All the existing cases in the FIA will be transferred to NCCIA as well.
The government has also handed over all the matters pertaining to social media and apps to the new investigation agency.
