ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has revealed facts behind the curtain regarding the extension given to Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Talking to media Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the government has taken the decision to give a three-year extension in services of Army Chief by keeping in mind grim situation in Kashmir and security situation of the region adding that talks between parties In Afghanistan are also on the card.
The Foreign Minister further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan used his constitutional power keeping in mind ground realities while the PM decision also sends a message of continuity to neighbouring and arch-rival India.
