ISLAMABAD: Last date for people to submit their Hajj applications has been extended till March 09 from March 07. The nominated banks will now be receiving Hajj applications till March 09.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), its specified branches on Saturday (March 09) will open at 10 am and close at 2:30 pm.
Last year, around 180 thousand Pakistani performed Hajj. Saudi Arabia, for this year, has increased Hajj quota for Pakistanis by 5000 individuals.
“1,99,731 Hajj applications have been received yet”, said spokesperson of religious affairs ministry on Thursday.
He added that banks receiving Hajj forms have been directed to give priority consideration to those individuals who have been unable to get nominated in the drawing lots for the past three years.
