ISLAMABAD: Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbassi has said that the federal government had to take the arrangements combating the coronavirus 10 weeks before.
Addressing along with his party leaders, senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said that the global pandemic is on rise at two and half times on every second day.
He said that there is a need of political unity but the government attitude is not positive adding that the government has not taken serious initiatives against the global pandemic.
The lock-down is an only way to avoid the spread of the lethal virus which means not a curfew, Shahid Khaqan said.
He added that every country took it on its own way adding that the whole of country is in lock-down practically while somewhere is tense on the other places it is soft.
Criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan, ex-premier said that the PM seems unaware of the lock-down while curfew has been imposed at one mile distance of the pm’s resident.
He said that there is a need of uniform policy throughout the country adding that extending the social distancing will decrease the spread of the pandemic adding that the lock-down doesn’t mean stopping of economic process.
The PML-N leader said that his party has started initiatives on the instructions of Shahbaz Sharif while Shahbaz Sharif will announce a national action plan within two days.
He said that Shahbaz Sharif’s action plan will be consisted of four perspectives.
