Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has said that government striving hard to end load shedding of electricity in the country while the PM also instructed to complete hydropower projects at earliest.
The PM spokesman said that Chairman Water and Power Development Authority ( WAPDA) lt gen (retd) Muzamil Hussain met the premier. During the meet up the chairman WAPDA briefed the premier about hydro electric projects.
The PM was briefed that ongoing hydro electric projects in the country will be completed in given timings adding that the projects will fulfill the country’s requirement for electricity that will also help to end load shedding as well as benefit to industrial and agriculture fields.
On the occasion, the PM directed to Chairman WAPDA to complete the hydro electric development projects on war footings. The PM said that “Government is working to end load shedding and speedy work is underway to provide cheap electricity to the masses.”
The PM directed the WAPDA chairman to take initiatives regarding building water reservoir in the county.
