ISLAMABAD: The federal government has given permission to former premier Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad.
Sources said that the interior ministry has issued a new memorandum for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo allowing him to travel abroad for getting treatment.
The memorandum has been issued in the light of the Lahore High Court (LHC) decision given on Saturday in which condition of surety amount has been waived.
After approval of the interior ministry, the former premier has been allowed to visit abroad once a time while his name will remain in the ECL.
Sources said that the copy of the memorandum has been sent to the petitioner, immigration officials and other respective institutuions.
