RAWALPINDI: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the situation not turned bad if the government let National Accountability Bureau (NAB) remain independent adding that the government takes credit over any action of the NAB.
Addressing a rally in Chak Belly Rawalpindi and talking to media ex-interior minister said that the government made accountability disputed adding that the NAB is an autonomous body if the government let it remain independent then situation did take an ugly turn.
Chaudhry Nisar said that the government used to say that it wanted to send all to jail. Regarding the government tenure whether will it complete or not he said that Shiekh Rasheed could do the prediction whether the government will complete its term or not.
He said that everyone including Imran Khan criticized when Nawaz Sharif attended party meetings after his disqualification on Supreme Court orders while he asked why this is not applicable on ruling PTI. Adding that why did not they remember criticism they used to do on Nawaz for Jehangir Tareen.
Chaudhry Nisar said that he granted Rs two billion for construction of a road in his constituency but the present government did not complete it to the date over which he declared the government incompetent.
