Multan (June 10, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday said that the government was making a plan to escape from the joint investigation team (JIT) currently seized with investigation into Prime Minister’s family alleged offshore holdings.
Talking to media outside central jail Multan, where he had gone to meet incarcerated MNA Jashmed Dasti, Quraishi said he was smelling some conspiracy from the arrest of Dasti.

He added that the illegal arrest of MNA Jamshed Dasti was disgrace of an elected representative of the people.
He added that he tried to meet Dasti but he was denied permission by prison officials, saying that they had orders from high up not to allow anyone meet Dasti.
Quraishi said that first Sheikh Rashid was attacked and now Dastio was sent behind the bars without any reason. All these events are meant to announce boycott of JIT’s proceeding, he added.
On the occasion he said that Dasti’s arrest was condemned by all opposition parties leaders inlcuding PTI chief Imran Khan, who demanded of his immediate release. He added that they had also written letter to Speaker National Assembly urging him to issue production order of Dasti.
Earlier, Quraishi and MNA Amir Dogar indulged in arguments with police officials outside Mutlan Central prison when they were not allowed to meet Dasti.
