ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that government will also work together with the private sector to convert the traditional media into digital media.
Talking to British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew in Islamabad today, Firdous Ashiq Awan said media is one of the effective tools to promote people to people contacts among nations.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen existing cooperation in the field of media and communication besides putting emphasis on boosting joint efforts to counter extremism and terrorism.
Addressing an Iftar Dinner event in Islamabad this evening, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said the government is committed to providing all possible assistance to the media industry.
The event was attended by people from different walks of life including Journalists.
