ISLAMABAD: The government and the opposition have reached consensus on the name of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and two members of Election Commission of Pakistan.
The talks between the government and the opposition for the appointment of the CEC and two members Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was held in the speaker office.
Sources said the government and the opposition have agreed on the names proposed by the government Sikandar Sultan Raja, for the post of CEC, for member of Sindh, Nisar Durrani, for member Baluchistan Shah Muhammad Jatoi.
After final approval of the Prime Minister Imran Khan the parliamentary committee will announce the names.
