Govt Set Strategy To Tackle JUI-F Led Azadi March

ISLAMABAD: The incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has asked its chief ministers, governors, law minister, ministers and allied parties input to tackle Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazal) JUI-F Azadi march.

Sources said that the arrest of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman arrest is under consideration while it is likely that old cases against Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman brothers and close aides will be reopened for which ministers have hinted and suggested to carry out NAB investigation into illegal allotments of land.

Sources said that the government has asked details of seminaries in Punjab who could extend support to the JUI-F chief, besides that details of political workers of political parties and leaders have also been sought.

Making the Azadi March fail through a backdoor is the first preference of the government, sources added, for which the government has given a task to leaders of allied parties.
