LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Friday demanded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government to reveal names of individuals demanding National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
While addressing media persons at residence of PPP Punjab parliamentary leader Hassan Murtaza, Khursheed Shah said that the opposition was willing to get known regarding the persons demanding NRO.
Commenting over demands for resignation of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman, Shah lashed out at the PTI leaders, saying that Prime Minister Imran Khan should also tender resignation if Shehbaz Sharif left his position.
He added that Imran Khan was also accused in case just as Shehbaz Sharif was facing charges in different cases. He further said that a probe should also be initiated over expenditure of PM Khan after investigation into dry clean of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. Shah also demanded to hold investigation into other names connected with Aleem Khan.
The PPP leader claimed that the government itself wanted to amend regulations of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Criticising the federal government, Shah said that the PTI rulers ran away from the parliament after presenting mini-budget. He said that his political party will demand implementation of Islamabad High Court (IHC)’s verdict in Faizabad sit-in case into Parliament. He also urged authorities to listen demands of the Pakhtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM).
