ISLAMABAD: The minister for inter-provincial coordination Dr Fahmida Mirza defending government measure to promote tourism in the country said that government was taking positive steps to boost tourism and trying work hard to address the problems being faced by the travellers and travel agents.
She made these views while meeting with the representatives of traveller agents and tour operators.
The parliamentary secretary inter-provincial coordination Saima Nadeem, special secretary inter-provincial coordination Tasneem Rehman and secretary inter-provincial coordination Akbar Durrani also attended the meeting.
The meeting contemplated over the hindering faced by the tourists, travellers agents and other related persons due to federal-provincial typical law constraint, double taxation, licensing and other issues.
The minister assured traveller agents to solve their problems and also thanked for highlighting the issues.
She lauded the Pakistan Traveler Association role in the promotion of tourism and said that government was making efforts as per the PM Imran vision to promote tourism.
“The government’s relaxation in visa policy will assist to promote tourism,” she mentioned.
