Lahore: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday paid rich tributes to all those front-line workers which included doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, working against the global pandemic corornavirus.
Talking to news persons in Lahore, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the government is using all resources in fighting against the coronavirus.
She said the government will open the essential industry in phases to ensure that food-supply chain is not affected in the country.
, she said the government has lifted ban on the goods transport for maintaining uninterrupted food supply.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said the government has earmarked 280 billion rupees for procurement of 8.2 million ton wheat in the country to spearhead economic activity.
About the construction industry, she said the grant of package to the construction sector is a decision aimed at providing jobs to the unemployed labour in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
